Baylor Rehabilitation System
The outpatient therapy clinics of Baylor Rehabilitation System (BRS) offer the technological capabilities, the skilled staff and the specialized programs to treat a wide range of injuries and conditions. All therapies and treatment regimens are based on helping patients reduce pain and improve function.
Baylor Outpatient Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic at Frisco, a part of Baylor Rehabilitation System, located in Suite 201 of Pizza Hut Park, offers comprehensive physical and occupational therapy, certified hand therapy, aquatic therapy and sports medicine rehabilitation. The clinic, which opened in February of 2006, features a large, open space gym with private treatment rooms, in-ground exercise pool, digital radiology and physician offices. We have expanded our early morning and late afternoon hours and added Saturday morning appointments for full service physical therapy, physician services and outpatient radiology. Baylor understands athletes and the importance of minimizing down time and maintaining conditioning while recovering from an injury. Physicians n the medical staff, therapists and athletic trainers design a therapy program specific to each athlete’s recovery needs. The customized treatment program may enhance the athlete’s endurance, agility, flexibility and strength through sports-specific exercises and drills. Treatment may also include isokinetic equipment for testing and training, and biofeedback studies for outcome enhancement. In order to help the athlete avoid re-injury or other related injuries in the future, considerable prevention education is also provided.
In addition to sports medicine, physicians and therapists also provide rehabilitation for work-related injuries, post-surgical cases, and patients with other musculoskeletal conditions such as neck or back pain, sprains and strains. The goal is to help individuals achieve their maximum ability quickly and safely so they can get back to life. A physiatrist, a physician with special training in physical medicine and rehabilitation, is available at each of Baylor’s nine locations to assess the patient and determine an appropriate course of care. Therapy may include aquatic therapy, manual therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy and therapeutic massage. Specialty services include splinting/casting, ultrasound treatments, whirlpool treatment and wound management.
Baylor Rehabilitation System has nine conveniently located outpatient clinics throughout the D/FW area including Frisco, Dallas, Garland, Grapevine, Irving, Mesquite, Midlothian Plano and Waxahachie.
